The Power of Green: Green Can Grow Your Marketing Campaign

It’s time to look at color as an important factor in corporate communications. Since it’s still spring, let’s use the color green to spice up our marketing campaigns.

Some words that come to mind when using a bright green color include: freshness, spring, life, St. Patrick’s Day, gardens, plants, thrive, growth, rebirth, health, lime, vegetables, recycling, sustainability, “go”, moving ahead, and environmentally friendly.

Here’s some ideas:

  1. Try color behind objects as a fresh backdrop.
  2. Try colorizing objects green and then pairing it with a soft blue background.
  3. Take a portion of an object and colorize it bright green for added effect.
  4. Outline or frame object in green.
  5. Use large green headlines with lots of white space.
  6. Reverse out illustrations of flowers or plants in green.
  7. Place green elements behind the main element to set it apart. Such a green zucchini behind a green dress or an emerald ring. Try juxtaposing elements that don’t naturally go together.

Here’s some samples that we tried. The first consists of colorized green objects that have been placed against various shades of green to give a fresh backdrop.  The second and third samples show the use of green frames to separate images.  The fourth example shows flowers or plants that have been reversed out of a green background. Samples 3 and 4 also utilize large green headlines with lots of white space.
